Travel has always been a part of my life. Growing up in Europe, I remember a lot of road trips, sailing and camping with family friends. During my teenage years, I started traveling with friends, with the occasional solo trip thrown in.

My husband and I are college sweethearts so we’ve been traveling together for a long time. He no longer rolls his eyes when I insist on carry-on only. Our travel style is similar – we travel to eat great food. Luckily, our kids are (mostly) adventurous eaters when they're in tow.

Three out of five us get motion sick easily so that always adds excitement to even the most boring trip.
