When your kids are little, Halloween is like a major holiday. So many celebrations, parades, costumes. A birthday two days after Halloween feels overwhelming every year. Especially this year when I spent most of the week in bed with a terrible sinus thing.
But we managed to pull it all off, even the birthday party at home with eight of his little friends. And even this year’s birthday interview!
Last year, I remember he was a bit of a punk so we didn’t finish his interview. And I never posted the few answers he did give. The last one I have is from when he turned six. Crazy enough, I was miserable and in labor but had nine more days to go before the baby arrived. Much better luck this year. His answers really show his sports obsessions and his fierce admiration for his brother. He’s crazy about his baby sister, but his big brother is his number one. It was fun to compare his 8th birthday interview with his older brother’s.
